MAVERICK MQ with the building blocks of what makes this reel unique and truly special. Inside the MQ body sits a G1 Duralumin drive gear, the same exact gear set that is found in the world-renowned 20 SALTIGA and 21 CERTATE SW. This large diameter, G1 drive gear gives MAVERICK MQ unmatched power and strength for its class and pushes the boundaries on giving anglers more affordable options to tackle the worlds largest predators.

The high-spec features dont end there, with MAVERICK MQ also sporting both a MAGSEAL body and MAGSEAL ball bearing equipped line roller for ultimate saltwater durability. Daiwas MAGSEAL is the perfect way to seal a reels internal components from damaging saltwater ingress.

A one-piece seamless airbail directs line into the roller for troublefree usage and is installed on Daiwas ZAION Air Rotor, a highly stiff and rigid carbon composite material which is lightweight for low inertia start up but incredibly strong to withstand heavy drag settings. MAVERICK MQ is equipped with an aluminium ball knob for comfort and comes in a range of both XH and H gear ratios to suit both topwater lure casting and deep water jigging alike.

MAVERICK MQ is available in 8000-20000 sizes and will be a perfect accompaniment to Daiwas range of DEMON BLOOD rods, a popular choice amongst keen saltwater anglers.
