The NEWISC 13mm-optimized Rope Wrench
The new RP283 ISC Rope Wrench is a specialized device, which has been developed to achieve optimal friction performance on (13mm) rope.

The rope diameter range of the original Rope Wrench (RP280) is 11-13mm (7/16 – 1/2″) rope. Feedback from climbersidentified that thefriction levels when using the RP280 Wrench on ropes of <13mm, were optimal, but that moving up to 13mm rope, introduced additional friction. The new 13mm-optimized Rope Wrench has therefore been designed to offer climbers using 13mm rope,levels of friction comparable to that of using 11mm Rope, with the original RP280 Rope Wrench.

Identifiable by its black sheave, theRP283 Rope Wrench has a wider profile, to accommodate a wider sheave groove which is specifically designed to achieve optimal friction performance on 13mm (1/2″) diameter rope.
The NEW ISCSquirrel Tether
The new ISC Squirrel Tether is manufactured from Aluminium, which ensures thattwist and flex in the Rope Wrench system,is minimal. This means that the Rope Wrench remains in the optimal low friction position during ascent, (allowing the climber to achieve maximum climb efficiency), and ensures that the Wrench engages efficiently, as required during lateral movements and descent.

The Squirrel can be used with an SRS Chest Harness, for hands-free tending of the system, while ascending. The Squirrel offers a choice of four SRS Chest Harness attachment points, allowing users to position their harness, according to the type of chest harness used- and to their personal preference.

The secondary aperture of the Squirrel Pulley provides an attachment point for the addition of a secondary system, which means that the Squirrel system can be used for rescues.

The Squirrel can be used with the 11-13mm Rope Wrench (RP280) and /or the new 13mm-optimised Rope Wrench (RP283).
